Beautiful!
I just posted several paintings of this great place. I love doorways and portals in gardens, glimpses of what is to come so to speak.
mamabeaks - thank you!Hermes - And the UK offers great examples of each. ~off to look at yours:)
these speak of wonder, enchantment, and possibilities.
Beautiful...it must take so many years to grow such beautiful portals...I would love one :O)
Mermaiden - wow, what an eloquent statement! And right you are.
Aputsiaq - I think these are centuries old. Wouldn't it be nice to have a maze like this:)
So magical...I want to be there!
Jno - Feels like a dream that I was ever there:) You'd love it.
So beautiful, how I'd love to have a picnic in one of those grassy spots!
Fala Cedar - with Berkeley Castle looming in the background, it would be a fairytale picnic!
Love the cat in the bottom photo, too. We don't see many of those Siamese cats any more.Kate
inthisquietlife - I loved that kitty too, so random, yet perfectly at ease.
I thought of you when I saw this post on Haute Macabre:http://hautemacabre.com/2010/08/regina-et-castellum/#more-13212Love the 2nd pic especially. Headpiece / dress lust!!
I too love garden 'doorways'. It must be 40 years since I visited this castle and don't recall the gardens at all. Must visit again as it is only just over an hour away from here.
Wild Somerset Child - oh, how lucky are you!!! The town in general is very picturesque and pretty.
Catwold portals! :-D Lovely. Wish I could venture into one of them!
Robin - this place was ever bit as magical as it looks!
Grace - I couldn't get this link to work.
