Lanhydrock House

Watching Twelfth Night (1996) last night, I was mesmerized by the stunning Gothic Victorian estate and interiors. At first, I mistakenly thought it was Strawberry Hill, but the credits listed Lanhydrock House in Cornwall. A bit of goggle searching ensued. Images+info here and here.

  1. So beautiful. I can't stop thinking of Cornwall, lately. Probably because J. and I just finished reading Susan Cooper's "Greenwitch" to one another. Need to go!

  2. What a romantic thing to do!

Even though I've not been to Cornwall, I image these sweeping, rugged and romantic landscapes of movie/tv memory. Lanhydrock was also used in the mid-70s version of Poldark, which I LOVED as a teen.
