Recently finished. Heraldic motif pillow is wool/cotton tapestry from France bought at a local Ren Faire. The other — fabric gifted by a friend embellished with olive ball fringe.

Lanhydrock House

Watching Twelfth Night (1996) last night, I was mesmerized by the stunning Gothic Victorian estate and interiors. At first, I mistakenly thought it was Strawberry Hill, but the credits listed Lanhydrock House in Cornwall. A bit of goggle searching ensued. Images+info here and here.

Summer Plum

One down, 2,545 to go.

New vow to finish old sewing projects (heaped up and tucked away) before beginning anything new. This dress was something I made about 5 years ago of sanded rayon with a metallic sleeve - sort of “everyday faire wear”. Not only was the metallic fabric scratchy, but the dry-cleaning process ruined it, so I replaced with leftover fabric, added bits of plum velvet + trim I had on hand.
