Happy Birthday Queen Mab & Frick

Today, I celebrate the 11th birthday of my adorable (and often adoring) feline companions - my sibling kitty loves, Queen Mab & Frick. We've had a quiet day so far, but what do cats like better than a long nap? 

Their first days in their new home.They were nearly the size of mice!

Burning the Midnight Oil

Have been so busy in recent weeks, working long hours with little movie-watching time or much else. However, did take time this weekend to make a new "summer" purse for myself. I so loved the small gray wool version I made for winter, so I duplicated the design. The size is compact and perfect. This time I used the medieval embroidery design I created (posted about some time ago) and paired with some favorite vintage buttons.

Back from Biltmore

Exhausted after a 2 day trip to the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC and a quick visit to Cherokee. Took so many photos that I spent hours organizing and making galleries that I posted to Flickr. Hope you enjoy the journey as much as I did.

Nature calls

Have been spending lots of time skipping through the woods, splashing in creeks, mulling over moss, but pausing quietly to take in the wildlife. Feeling all of 12 years old! Behold, some of my best sightings...
