A few of my favorite snapshots from this weekend's trip to Boston. A wonderful and wonder-filled time spent with cherished friends.
This and all above are from Trinity Church. |
This room was closed for an event - so the Edwin Austin Abbey murals taunted from inside. |
Beautiful! I grew up outside of Boston, and now go there every once in a while to meet with my art dealer on Newbury St. It seems, however, that I'm forever rushing through and never have a moment to notice the beautiful details... thanks for reminding me to spend some time noticing next visit!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, so lovely! I'm glad that you had a wonderful weekend away to see beautiful art and friends!
ReplyDeleteReally nice MM. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteValerianna - Boston is just perfection and the perfect combo of cityscape and green spaces. I'd like to hide out in the Isabella Stewart Gardner forever.
ReplyDeleteJno - It was a delightful departure from the daily grind.
ReplyDeleteLarry - always happy to share:)
ReplyDeleteNice! I've passed through Boston a couple of times on my way to Salem, but now that I've seen these I think next time I'll endeavour to stop over for a day or two so I can visit this location & any others I find of interest.
ReplyDeleteChristopher - so much lovely art & architecture. Highly recommend a slow walk-about town on your next trip. We visited Salem + Marblehead too = love!
ReplyDeleteWonderful pictures , you have got to admire such skilled craftspeople , thanks for sharing :-)
ReplyDeleteAaron-Paul - I totally agree. Amazing beauty created in stone!
ReplyDeleteI must be a reincarnated "gothic" person. I love the "for real" gothic cathedrals so much. I love the style even in "copy," especially when it's a very well done copy like these.
