Have been spending lots of time skipping through the woods, splashing in creeks, mulling over moss, but pausing quietly to take in the wildlife. Feeling all of 12 years old! Behold, some of my best sightings...
Isn't this perfection? |
This goose, at a local lake, was simply magnificent. |
Sitting pretty!!! |
Taken yesterday at a new discovery - a local historic, working mill and nature preserve! |
This thrills me to bits. Looks like they are in line to play Leap-Frog. |
One of my favorite flowers. |
What might I find next? |
Lovely pix. Would you mind if I poetried on the flower pixes and posted them on WOL's Poetry Place? (with attribution and links back to you, of course!)
ReplyDeleteMy financial situation is due to change for the better about August, and one of the things I absolutely must get is a decent camera!
ReplyDeleteWOL, That was weird - Blogger ate my response:)
ReplyDeleteWould love for you to use my photo and "poetrize" it!
Wow, what gorgeous photos!! It's still really cold and sloppy here, though the rain and mud haven't stopped me from bumbling around in my yard and taking pictures of the daffodils and hyacinths. So many turtles and birds!! I hope I can get a nature walk in this weekend, I'm just dying for one!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures - inspiration for us all.
ReplyDeleteFala - this new place has beavers!!! I've not seen one yet, but will be on point to do so. Hope you have a great outing this weekend with lots of critters to delight:)
ReplyDeleteHermes - thank you! I find the outdoors so soothing and good therapy.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely. You are a good 6-8 weeks ahead of us here in Muskoka, but strangely enough, have the some of the same birds and turtles and flowers as we in your pictures. A lovely taste of spring.
ReplyDeleteThanks for a beautiful journey. We are still snow covered, though melting and VERY muddy. If I walk in the woods without snow shoes I wrench my knees when I fall in every third step. But the birds are singing different songs.
ReplyDeleteI love the turtle train!
Awesome photos!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
It is sunny today and all "springy" - I just have to go out and search for little treasures. :)
Oh I love the little turtles all in a line, I can just see something like it in an illustration! North Carolina is a beautiful state, we go there often as we are only 2 hours away. Great photos!
ReplyDeleteI just adore the photo of all the turtles in a line! They look like they are having so much fun :)

ReplyDeleteI certainly feel the presence of "some other" while out and about in the woods. Nothing can match the restorative effects of nature.
All these photos are wonderful but my favorite is the last one. I love those trees and the shadow!
ReplyDeleteEric -thank you so much. About the last few images: that is the trail that was very damaged by recent tornadoes - so much so, it is closed "indefinitely"
