Solstice Blessings

Warmest solstice blessings to you all & happy holidays.

Bound and determined to see the moon during this most historic event, I darted in and out trying to glimpse the silvery moon through cloudcover. I never saw the warm orange-glow, but still a breathtaking sight.

My best photo from the night.

  8. Happy Yule! I was able to see the moon dressed in her gown of russet earth-shadow, and with her companion Orion blazing beside her. Truly magical. I asked a solstice blessing on us all. WOL8>)

  12. Happy Holidays, my dear! And thank you for your visit. After seeing a recent PBS show on Stonehenge, I'd been wondering how the lunar eclipse was celebrated around there and one of your reader's comments tells me to go to YouTube. I have to see that. Happy New Year!

  13. that moon shot is glorious - and I didn't think those were real birds for a moment - little feathered works of art. Great how you captured them.

  14. Kirsten - I likewise visited YouTube to see the Stonehenge gathering. How cool would that be?
And New Year's blessings to you too.

  15. Susan - The bird photo was even taken from my bedroom window. Today, it is a frenzy as we got about 7 inches of snow overnight - a winter wonderland, but I worry about the birds.
