I'm not usually a Walmart shopper, but sometimes one gets lucky. I found this pre-elasticized fabric that almost made itself into this fanciful skirt. Here, I've paired it with a lace edged underskirt, a thrifted velveteen jacket that I bought in 1986 for $3! Antique buttons added and the shattered lining was replaced; it remains one of my favorite articles of clothing.
Lovely! The fabric works so well with these pieces!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I wish I could wear outfits like this.
ReplyDeleteUnderstandably!!!All smart for next to nothing.Love it.
ReplyDeleteIt is so wonderful that you have kept something that you got in 1986! I swear the longest I've had something is 5 years maybe. Makes me sad, not having many sentimental pieces.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! And that is an amazing jacket.
ReplyDeleteHow pretty.
ReplyDeleteooh, great find!
ReplyDeleteEverything about this is gorgeous. You are awesome!
ReplyDeleteJno - thanks! Is it sad that I'm planning my outfit for Harry Potter? HA.
ReplyDeleteI really like that outfit, timeless and romantic. Thanks for your comments on my blog. The church door with the flowers was at the rear and I happened on it by chance ,it was lovely. Also I see you like Merlin it may amuse you to know that Rory who is pictured on my blog has been an extra on the show several times and says they all have a lot of fun and the two lads are both smashing chaps who have a real sense of fun!
ReplyDeleteAngela - Thank you. All your photos were simply stunning. I read that parts of Merlin is filmed in Wales so that explains the beautiful forest and lake scenes:) How wonderful that you have the "insider scoop" on the cast. They do look like they enjoy their work.
ReplyDeleteYes Wales is one of the locations,it is funny because we watch and try to see Rory in the episodes he has been in but usually it gets cut and in one episode we only saw his ear Ho Ho! I am thinking of starting a Rory's Ear fan Club!
