    1. Thanks so much Kirsten. I don't see many fiddleheads around here - thrilled to see some in the woods. Hope you are enjoying nice weather as well.

  4. Oh we're very far behind in spring growth... love the squirell coming out of the tree, I love them and think they get a bad rap!

    1. Our Spring was so very early, even by NC standards - the wisteria has come and gone as have the Dogwoods; azaleas on the way out.

YES:) I adore all my little squirrel friends.

  5. Lovely photos - the squirrel ones are really cute and I like the bee on the wisteria too. Spring here has lurched between warm and beautiful and cold and wet which is our current condition!

  6. Rowan - we've had some unbearably hot days, but lots of rain and then a cool-down, for which I'm thankful. Thank you!!!

  7. You got some great shots! I love the one of the two ducks (geese?) We have a lot of doves here, too. They sit up in the trees and hoo-hoo-hoo. A very restful sound.

    1. Thank you! Yes, those are Canadian geese in a local nature preserve. I love the sounds of doves, and like you say, a very restful sound.

    1. That is a Fiddlehead fern. I don't see many around here. They are edible, I believe.
