Can't wait to see this movie - I've heard the costumes are a bit more realistic than in some of the past films (I still love the Errol Flynn version, even if the costumes look more like they came out a Pre-Raphaelite painting than from any historical period!).
Margaret - I've seen it twice thus far and just love it!!! And yes, the entire movie is more realistic - gritty, gruesome at times, but has a down to earth quality that most Robin Hood films have lacked. The costumes are just wonderful. Marian wears linen, natural looking fibers. The royals (King John, Isabell and Queen Eleanor) are appropriately regal without looking costume-ish.
Heisann!
ReplyDeleteI saw the new feature of Robin Hood yesterday, amasing ;:OD)
Vilt og vakkert - it was indeed fantastic!!!!
