Medieval Relic Keeper
Last fall, my dear friend Jen of Parrish Relics created this one-of-a-kind pendant for me to celebrate my furry babies, Queen Mab and Frick. The necklace has a place inside in which I tucked little pieces of cat fur to keep them near to me when I wear it. When not worn, I keep it displayed on my dressing table forming a belt for this Medieval Lady with falcon.
Detail shots and the matching earrings that arrived in Friday's mail! They are so very beautiful.
She created a little heraldic device for them on the back.
Today, I celebrate being the "mommy" to these two incredible felines, litter mates who came into my life when they were just a few weeks old. Last Monday, Queen Mab and Frick celebrated their 9th birthdays - so much to adore and love.

Everything should rest on a bed of moss.
I too love this piece, and it is very happy among my others:) Happy mother's day to you too. There really should be a special kitty mom day.
Thanks for visiting me! Happy birthday to les deux chats et Happy Mom's day to you! WOW! Jen's work is to literally die for. I have contacted her because I need to get one of her crowns. What a lovely piece and wear it in good health! Lucky you! Have a marvelous day, Anita Rivera
Thanks for the good wishes all 'round. I've known Jen for about 10 years now, so have amassed quite a collection. They are quite addictive.

Oh those earrings are so lovely!! And isn't it just SO fun to find creative ways to display Relics when they aren't worn? They are absolutely too divine to put away.ReplyDelete
What fabulous cats! And how lucky they are to have you for a mom. Happy Mother's Day to you and I agree...the moss is perfect for these photos.ReplyDelete
The only things more fabulous than the lovely Relics are your feline babies!! And your medieval lady is beautiful - is she a garden statue?ReplyDelete
Thanks Grace! It is a challenge though to keep them away from velvet paws.ReplyDelete
I seem to have a way with moss and ivy. Other plants, not so much.
I think M+F are pretty fabulous too.
Mary - The statue is usally kept indoors on my vanity. I do adore my kitties.ReplyDelete
Yay! Just saw this post and feel so lucky...thank you for taking these beautiful photos and once again for giving me this treasured project for some of my favorite furry babies!ReplyDelete
I wore the necklace and earrings yesterday, celebrating my emerald green birthstone and my daily tribute to this furry duo.
Thank you so very much for my treasures.
