Snow in North Carolina!

Views around my yard and out the window on this very snowy day - a rare treat in this part of North Carolina.

  1. Lovely snowy photos and the birds look all puffed up! We're getting it tonight, my parents and I are tucked into the cozy house watching the storm. I love snow. Hope you're warm and cozy, too.

  3. These photos are beautiful, wonderful, I especially like the first picture:) do not get it before that you live in North Carolina. I live in Poland and in North Carolina just a few years ago I spent the most beautiful moments in life. Wonderful memories ... I send warm greetings :)

  4. You got some fantastic pictures! We got snow here in East Tennessee as well, it is so beautiful. We only see it here a few times each winter, so it is always a treat.

  6. Welcome to the snow, we've had it for weeks. Lovely pictures but feel sorry for the birds.

  7. Valerianna - it has been a very cozy few days and fortunate to have not lost power as many have. Your little sanctuary sounds perfect:)

Fala - snow is so rare for us (at least this much) that I am enjoying the beauty of it.

Anna - Wow, from Poland to NC! Amazing how small the world can be with computers to connect us all. This state is lovely from seacoast to mountains.

  8. Jeri - we are practically neighbors! It is very magical in small amounts:) So glad you were likewise blessed.

Kirsten - It has been wonderful to have a few days of "downtime", enjoying nature and the birds. Happy New year to you too.

Hermes - oh how I worry about the birds as you know they are nearly starving and so cold. I must go out today for more seed.

  9. Dry as a bone here (53% hum), although cold by our standards (highs in low 60's, lows in low 30's). I love the pix of the door wreath. Bless you for feeding the birds.

  11. WOL - We are having a proper winter, but a warm up by the weekend. Thanks - I made the wreath after a greenery hunting expedition the other day. I so love those little birds and care for them as best I can.

Jno - Indeed. How about you? Did you get half a foot?
