Whiter Shade of Pale

Seems that everywhere I wandered yesterday, I saw white. White birds, swans, flowers, mushrooms!

Snowy Egret

Trumpeter swans

Coral Fungi

Not white, but a nice surprise on my car antenna as I left the trails around the lake.

  1. What a pretty dragonfly! I used to see them constantly, but not anymore since I've been steering clear of the outdoors whenever possible. Too dang humid. I might brave that tomorrow though. Your pretty photo has inspired me!

    1. Thank you Kristin.

Trust me, I was drenched when I finished this hike and kind of cranky. Seeing the dragonfly on my car made me smile though. Hope you can sneak in a walk in the early morning hours to beat the heat.

    1. We seem to have had a break in the weather a bit, refreshing rain for a few days. Thank you. The swans were a welcome surprise!

  3. Oh how I miss seeing Swans... they are some of the most Graceful, Regal looking and Beautiful of Birds... you never see them in the Desert! *LOL* Thanks for dropping by for a visit... actually the rest of the downsizing is going well, bit by bit I'm detaching from a lot of things so that there is less to take care of... still a ways to go but I'm gaining momentum as the Process continues and I'm proud of the progress I've already made.

    1. They are indeed and I'd been walking, hot and bothered and happened to see a flash of bright white through the canopy of green - my reward!

Commending you on the "de-stash" and downsizing. I wish I could say the same; I remain stubbornly attached to all my stuff.

  4. Oooh! That one of the dragonfly on the car antenna was "worth the price of admission" all by itself. And then the snowy egret. . . wow!

    1. That dragonfly was amazing as it stayed, flew away and returned many times. And it brought a friend!
