Once again, I find myself scratching my head trying to figure out what I've done since April as time seems to evaporate these days. May was a month of birthdays. It marked 12 years for my beloved felines, Queen Mab and Frick on May 4th. Then, I had a big birthday milestone on the 18th. For that celebration, I flew North and spent a few days with dear friends in Boston who made it extra special and I cannot thank them enough. We had Game of Thrones Weirwood cake, a trip to the Isabella Stewart Gardner for evening revelries, a tranquil nature outing to Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary, Animal Adventures for close encounters with exotic beasts of all sorts, then splendid art at Worcester Art Museum and the Higgins Armory Museum. The days in pictures!
Glad you're alright - great pictures.
ReplyDeleteI'm doing fine. thank you on both counts.
DeleteSounds like a great birthday trip - a belated Happy Birthday to you. And also to Queen Mab and Frick of course:)
ReplyDeleteThank you so very much!!! Hard to get back to the "real world" after all those lovely adventures.
DeleteWonderful soundig trip!! My neighborhood, so to speak.. grew up around Boston, the Gardner museum is one of my faves. Happy Birthday... Do tell about the little fox!
ReplyDeleteThank you. Both foxes were at Animal Adventures. They had two outside (the smiling red fox); the other is a non-native Fennec fox named Fiona. Isn't she adorable?
DeleteWonderful photos! I'm glad to hear that you're doing good and have enjoyed May!
ReplyDeleteThanks you on both counts!
DeleteMany happy returns of the (birth)day to you and the kitties!
ReplyDeleteThank you. I'll give Mab + Frick a little birthday kiss from you.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to all... :) wonderful photos...it looks like a great time... Thanks for sharing these...I am not far from Boston I am going to take a trip down to the museums... the hubby & I are hooked on Game of Thrones...can't wait for the next season :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda. You are a woman after my own heart as I also am addicted to Game of Thrones. I read all the books before S2 began and likewise cannot wait until the next season. Have a great time on your Boston adventures. So much to see and do.
ReplyDeleteFrom Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. Mostly a focus on Lady Marian's gowns and the lovely forest wedding scene. Behold the pretty! I do love a man with a crossbow. This reminds me so much of a favorite Walter Crane illustration (right). I read in the movie guide that this gown is made of silk organza, boiled for 10 hours to achieve a softer, draping fabric. Love the twig cathedral window. The details on the clothing is amazing!
