Feathering my Nest

I'd really hoped to have more to share as we tumbled into 2012, but I feel like a tiny bird pushed from the nest too early. On that theme, I give you a few of my favorite bird photos of late and other charms of making. Who knew that photographing wildlife and nature would become such an obsession for me? Speaking of neglect, my Etsy shop is bare, but I've assembled quite a stash of lovely fabrics and trims to hopefully, turn into something

Beauty from Parrish Relics!
I made these tiny sachets stuffed with lavender for dear friend Robin of Violet Hour. Visit her new site for tarot explorations.
Fresh off the sewing machine! This will be my everyday purse for Spring.
I'll likely use this design in a different variation for future Etsy offerings.
Recent yard visitor.
He does have a second leg - off to the left side of the photo:)
The End!

  1. I like your nature images... I'm also obsessed. My camera is not that great, so I don't get good bird shots, someday, I'll get a better one, and then my obsession will increase exponentially, I'm sure!
Love seeing your work on the mosses, and Parish Relics necklace is great on moss, too!

    2. Uh as I said that's so tempting.. actually already have a pouch for the wedding, but yours are so amasing.. I like walking in the woods and gathering small stuff like pretty stones, twigs, feathers and so on. (There's a little bit of a witch in me ;)). And I would really love a special bag for that, and if I really really love it I would wear it for my wedding too.
Green is my faverorite color and I like it in combination with white and gold :) and I like leaf patterns and maybe a tini tiny unicorn ;p I don't have the money this month to buy one, but maybe next month.. :I
