Sisterhood of the Traveling Dress

Ok, back to dresses & tresses!
I've a photographic memory, but alas, a fairly selective and not highly productive one. It is mostly a textile- and clothing-related gift. In last weekend's Starz' Camelot viewing frenzy, I took note of costumes and immediately recognized this one. In Camelot, Guinevere's cousin Bridget wears this orange gown with organza sleeves, decorated with gold banding. That very same dress is worn in First Knight by the luminous and beautiful Julia Ormond as Guinevere.
I included the back view because her hair is so swoon-worthy. Could she BE any prettier?

  3. Ah, to have locks like that! I had to smile at your highly specialized selective memory! *winks* I'm like that too about certain things... especially 'Treasures' I adore, I have Total Recall about THOSE kinds of things that I'm passionate about... yet I have trouble remembering what I did with the car keys... go figure!? *LOL*

Thanks for stopping by and admiring my Vintage Articulated Hand... I'm still longing for the partner to it... I met the Vendor while my Brother was in Town & when she knew I'd purchased the Left Hand she discreetly hid the price tag on the Right Hand so that most peeps might conclude it is simply a display item... nice of her I thought, so I'm HOPING that works so I can save up and get it before someone else snags it?! *Smiles*

  4. I agree, love her hair! New reader, came over from Hopalong Hollow. Near us in Arkansas they are building a medieval castle http://www.ozarkmedievalfortress.com/, I blogged about it last year, haven't visited yet though. Come visit me at Granny Mountain in the Ozarks...

  6. Mamabeaks - the memory, unfortunately, extends to bad things too.

  9. Oh My Gosh! You are right about the hair. My hair is that long, I think I shall give it a try, maybe I can wear the dress this time! Although I could never hold a candle to either of those ladies... not even a small flicker.

  12. It's a beautiful dress and I love the colouir. As for her hair - imagine having enough hair to create that wonderful style!

  13. Rowan - that would be a difficult color for many to wear, but perfect on a brunette, I think. My hair is probably long enough, but certainly not that thick! Hers is very impressive.

  14. You have a good eye! That's a lovely dress, and she looks gorgeous in it. (Though she would look amazing in a burlap sack.) That hair is a work of art!
