Theme inspired by an owl that has awakened me several nights in the last month. I believe it to be living in a large oak tree near my house. H.J. Ford illustration.

Robin I'm really enjoying Ford's illustrations more and more. Didn't realize he was a friend of Burne-Jones, but I can now see a few similarities in style.

I love owls. We have them around and see them sometimes, swooping silently right on dusk. It's my photographic ambition to get a photo of one some evening. I enjoyed your photos - thankyou.

I used to have one when I lived deep in the country. Bit spooky late at night but it kept the mice down.
