  2. There's a fascinating article about white harts, which includes an image similar to the one you have above, here:

    On that image, the antlers can be seen more clearly.

    That article also includes a newpaper report about sightings of real ones. And a catalogue of examples of the occurence of white deer in myths.

    I've a local park called "White Deer Park" that is basically a shrine to a tiny white deer that was struck by a car. Sadly, it is now taxidermied and on exhibit but I guess it is for educational purposes.
