Have been busy working on some of my own costuming for autumn's events - one Medieval Faire and one Faerie Conference, much to look forward to. This one is for a very petite dark haired friend - kind of Snow White meets the Evil Queen in one dress.
I just adore this gown and I think you need to start naming all of your creations! Gorgeous L will definitely look like Snow White in this. The sleeves are just amazing-the fabric is gorgeous, love the lace up bodice and the trim. Divine. Now, for the perfect relic...
Oh my goodness, that is just beautiful! Where do you get your inspiration? Thanks for sharing. Do we get to see a picture of you in one of your costumes??! :~) Kirsten
Kirsten Thank you so much. Most of my inspiration comes from books, movies and my own scattered brain. This is for a friend, but we're all attending the Fort Tryon Park Medieval Festival at the Cloisters in NYC in October. I'll try to get some photos. And yes, I'll post one of me at some point.
You're very talented, lucky friend! I'm petite and dark-haired and the coloring of this dress, the laced bodice is perfect. Can't wait to read more and see pictures of your Medieval Festival events. I'm going to try to make it over to the Cloisters in October.
The sleeves are just incredible! You put so much detail into all of your creations. Love it and love the name!
ReplyDeleteOooh...if Tess wears her Snow White Queen costume at Faeriecon again this year, L and her totally have to get a picture together in their ensembles.
ReplyDeleteAgain, love this. Gorgeous.
I love it! Oh, she's going to look amazing.
ReplyDeleteYES!! This is wonderful...Your work is outstanding. We await photos of the events! Anita

ReplyDeleteThanks everyone! Wish I could manufacture more hours in a day. I need that time-turner Hermione had in Harry Potter.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, i adore the sleeve detail. wouldn't a time turner be just the thing!!
